FAQs Answered

What are Edamame Beans?

Edamame are premature soybeans of a special variety that grow mainly in East Asia — particularly Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, and China. They are not the same as regular soybeans found in India. These young green beans are packed with protein and nutrients, making them a perfect healthy snack.

How does it have 40-46g protein?

Most online sources refer to boiled edamame, which contains around 11–12g of protein per 100g wet weight. But Green Gainz Edamame Beans (Classic flavour) are dry-roasted, which removes all moisture. This natural dehydration process concentrates the nutrients, resulting in up to 46g of protein per 100g in the final product.

For our flavoured variants like Cheese and Masala, we add seasonings — but still maintain a high protein content of around 40g per 100g, making it one of the best protein snacks available.

Are they fried or roasted?

Green Gainz Edamame Beans are not deep-fried. We do not use harmful oils like palm oil or any heavy frying techniques. Instead, we use a minimal amount of rice bran oil for seasoning — which is considered a heart-friendly oil by dieticians and nutritionists. Our processing method is designed to retain the natural nutrition while delivering a clean, crunchy snacking experience.

Is it good for muscle building?

Absolutely. With 46g of protein per 100g, it’s one of the best vegetarian protein sources for muscle growth, repair, and recovery — especially helpful for gym-goers and athletes.

Are Green Gainz Edamame Beans weight-loss friendly?

Yes, absolutely! Green Gainz Edamame Beans are an excellent snack for weight loss. They are:

  • keeps you full for longer
  • supports digestion and satiety
  • won’t spike blood sugar
  • and easy to snack on without guilt

By curbing hunger and supporting muscle retention, they help you avoid junk cravings while staying aligned with your weight-loss goals.

Is this Jain-friendly?

Yes. Green Gainz Edamame Beans are Jain-friendly — made without onion, garlic, or root vegetables, and seasoned using only compliant ingredients.

How do I eat it?

It’s ready-to-eat. Just tear open the pack and snack! You can also sprinkle it on salads or eat it as a side with your meals for an added protein boost.

Are Green Gainz products Non-GMO?

Yes, 100%. Our Edamame Beans and all Green Gainz products are Non-GMO.

Is it suitable for athletes?

Yes. The high protein and fiber content make it ideal for athletes, runners, bodybuilders, and fitness enthusiasts who want clean snacking with real benefits.

How much Edamame Beans can I eat in a day?

Are they safe for diabetics?
